Current Posts 2007-2008

This list includes all changes known about from August 2007 to July 2008.

Format:
Player's name (club in the 1970-71 season): club at start of 2007-2008 season - this club's League position; current post. (Additional information as described below).

Additional information:
'WoSS' means the Bob 70-71 Player is in the FKS World of Soccer Stars Album for 1970-71, the album on which the site was originally based.

'Sky' means that the Bob 70-71 Player is listed in the 2006-2007 Sky Sports Football Yearbook. I've still included this to show continuity with the old format.

'COW' means that the Bob 70-71 Player is not in the Sky yearbook, but that the information is confirmed by the club's official website.

'BBC' means the information is confirmed by the BBC website, and mainly applies to Bob 70-71 Players who took up post after the start of the season.

'Wik' means the information is from Wikipedia, 'the free encyclopedia', which is used if the Official Website is not forthcoming with information.

The condition of including the player on the list is merely if I know about it ! So do inform me of any others you know about, and apologies in advance for any I've missed.

Click on underlined player's name or player's 70-71 team to find out more information.

Note:
Other current English League managers who were the right age, but I do not yet have confirmation of their place on the site due to not having a playing career in England are:

Arsène Wenger - Arsenal.

Graham Barrow Assistant Manager at Chester City was born in 1954, but I do not yet have the proof that he was an apprentice in 70-71.

Steve Coppell - Reading was born in 1955, and again I do not have any proof that he was on anyone's books in 70-71.

Index
From 2005-2006 the layout of the Rothmans/Sky pages was changed to an easier Players A-Z of those Bob70-71 Players who still have a position in professional football, including non-league and non-English clubs or international positions.

Previous to this the site's original format which was based on the player being listed in Sky Sports Football Yearbook. This source is no longer the only way of finding out the information, and it has started to list fewer and fewer posts beyond manager and coach.
